Aimee works as a  Junior Project Manager & Research Assistant for Aligning Financial Flows (AFF), which seeks to enable African countries to identify pathways and strategies for the climate-appropriate alignment of financial flows. In her role, she provides project management and research support to the team. Before SSN, she worked at the African Climate and Development Initiative in the area of nature-based solutions to climate change. Here she grew an interest in distributional equity concerning co-benefits of climate change adaptation projects.

Aimee has a broad academic background with an Honours degree in Psychology and is interested in a transdisciplinary approach to the ‘wicked problems’ that climate change poses to society. Another area of interest is innovative climate financing opportunities for the Global South’s transition to low-carbon, climate-resilient economies. Aimee is currently completing her MPhil Degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the University of Cape Town.
