Project Title:
Locally-Led Adaptation Funding Toolkit and Trainer Content

Lead Organisation:
SouthSouthNorth (SSN)

Location:
Remote, with potential coordination with in-country teams in Ghana, Namibia, and Ethiopia

Contract Duration:
May – September 2025 (with potential for extension)

The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) is developing a Locally-Led Adaptation (LLA) Finance For Resilience Funding Toolkit and accompanying Training-of-Trainers (ToT) content package. This resource aims to strengthen the capacity of local practitioners and institutions to access and manage adaptation finance through plain-language and accessible guidance.

The toolkit will be piloted in Ghana (April to May) and in Namibia and Ethiopia (July to August), with content refined iteratively based on user feedback. To enhance understanding and usability, CDKN seeks a creative and culturally-aware illustrator to collaborate on visual elements that support the toolkit’s messaging and learning objectives.

Interested illustrators or creative teams should submit the following:

  • A portfolio showcasing relevant samples, particularly visuals created for toolkits, training, or climate/adaptation content.
  • An estimated budget and timeline, including pricing based on illustration complexity.
  • Contact information and availability.
  • A short proposal (max 2 pages) outlining their approach to this project.
