Climate justice: Youth perspectives from the global South

In October, the Justice in a Changing Climate (CDKNJ) project announced the recipients of eleven climate justice awards of $2 000 each to implement climate justice projects of their choosing in their communities. These young people from the majority world (mostly from Africa) have designed projects that will empower their communities, promote sustainable practices, raise awareness about climate-related challenges faced by vulnerable populations, and spark important conversations. Collectively they hope to influence the conceptions and definitions of climate justice, bringing the perspectives of the majority world to bear.
