Upcoming webinar and workshop: Climate Investment in Latin America

Nexos + 1 held the Annual Investment Forum and the launch of the DecarBOOST programme’s Community of Practice (CoP) in Investments and Climate in March of this year. DecarBOOST subsequently created an annual calendar of events that strengthens and consolidate these initiatives, designed with inputs and guidance from the participants at the event.

What is the calendar of events for 2021?

 

We propose three sessions a year, each of these includes two spaces for collaboration and exchange; a webinar and an exclusive workshop for members of the Community of Practice in Investments and Climate.

What do we have in store for the first session, on 15 July 2021?

 

On July 15, the session will deal with “The future of investments for the decarbonization of Latin America, towards 2050″ in which we will analyze the importance of financing the development of a low-carbon, green, and climate-resilient economy in Latin America. The event includes the following speakers:

    • Graham Watkins of the Inter-American Development Bank (TBC).
    • Jack Balsdon, Principles for Responsible Investment, presenting Race to Zero.
    • Lukas Kahlen of the NewClimate Institute.
    • Marcela Jaramillo of 2050 Pathways Platform, and LEDS LAC Platform
    • Marta Torres Gunfaus from the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI).
