New phase of CDKN to accelerate equitable, financed and ecosystem-based action on climate change
A new five-year phase of CDKN (2022-27) aims to advance gender-equitable and socially-inclusive climate-resilient action by mobilising knowledge-into-action, capacity and Southern climate leadership from local to global levels.
The latest IPCC report stresses that urgent collective and transformative action across society is needed to avoid severe disruption to human and natural systems from climate change. The 2022 UN Adaptation Gap report confirms adaptation finance flows to developing countries are 5-10 times below estimated requirements, and these flows are not reaching the local level where they are needed most. Damage to nature is undermining human well-being and is one of the drivers of climate change. Read more here.
