Roy is a project coordinator for the Africa LEDS Partnership (AfLP). Prior to this he worked with the SSN Climate Services Hub (CSH) as a research officer for the Future Climate For Africa (FCFA) programme and WISER TRANSFORM project. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Honours degree in Environmental Analysis and Management from the University of Pretoria. He has also obtained his Master’s degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from the University of Cape Town. Before joining SSN, Roy was involved in various research projects at the University of Cape Town, most notable the Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Regions (ASSAR) project, where his work involved quantifying the local impacts of global warming on vulnerable sectors in 6 African countries.
