Vacancy – Small Grants Manager
SSN is undertaking a project within the Hessequa Municipal area in testing an innovative small granting model. The goal of this is to avoid a common problem seen with donor funding: stranded pilots, which often end operations once donor funding ceases, by promoting grantee sustainability from the outset. The small grants will be made towards biodiversity restoration projects in a critical limestone fynbos biodiversity hotspot, particularly those tackling the removal of a common woody invasive plant species, Rooikrans (Acacia cyclops).
For this Small Grants Manager role, we are seeking someone with exacting project management and administration experience, with passion for and an understanding of the target activities in the Hessequa area.
This position will be based in Cape Town, South Africa, and only candidates who are eligible to work in South Africa will be considered for this post. SSN is committed to providing equal opportunities and practising affirmative action employment relating to race, gender and disability.
