The Green Accountability Platform invites you to a webinar titled “Advancing Social Accountability in Climate Action: Introducing the Green Accountability Community of Practice.”
This webinar aims to facilitate dialogue among key stakeholders to enhance transparency, participation, and accountability in climate policy, including climate finance. It will explore opportunities for promoting social accountability on climate action on the Road to Belém, noting the outcomes of COP 29 and the immediate need to strengthen transparency on climate finance. It will also introduce the Green Accountability Community of Practice (CoP). It aims to bring together CSOs, grassroots organisations, and green accountability actors to foster peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing, identify scalable green accountability social innovations, and implement coalition-building strategies.
The Green Accountability Platform is led by a consortium of the World Resource Institute (WRI), Huairou Commission (HC), and SouthSouthNorth (SSN). It aims to strengthen social accountability for climate action by improving the impact and equity of climate finance in the target countries. The platform supports the integration of community, citizen, and CSO feedback into climate finance decision-making.
The webinar will be hosted in English. Spanish, Portuguese and French simultaneous interpretation will be provided during the meeting through Zoom’s interpretation function. We look forward to your participation!
